Bird & Wild Forest Grown Coffee

Launched: October 2013

Manufacturer: Bird & Wild

The use of organic and traditional methods of cultivating coffee in the forests of Western Ethiopia inspired Dorset-based Bird & Wild to enter the UK coffee market with the only certified bird-friendly coffee (rsp: £5.45/227g). The accreditation, from the Smithsonian Institution, means the threatened habitats of migratory birds and wildlife are preserved during the growing process. The coffees are not blended, resulting in rich, full-bodied, spicy coffee. Available online.
