Candyking in mix
Woolworths has signed a four-year deal with Swedish sweets firm Candyking to supply a new pick 'n' mix concept to its 821 high street stores between now and May 2007.

Fairtrade coffee supplier Cafédirect has opened its first high street coffee shop. The site, in the University of Westminster's Regent Street campus in London, is run in conjunction with education caterer Scolarest.
Food miles slashed
Asda has reduced the number of road miles clocked up by its transport fleet by 20 million after switching to rail. Since 2001 it has been using a freight train to deliver from distribution centres in the Midlands to stores in Scotland.
