Aussie lager Foster's is teaming up with the English Pool Association to sponsor this year's World Eightball Pool Championships, which will take place in Blackpool at the end of June. The competition will be aired on Sky Sports channels and Foster's branding will appear within the playing arena and on players' clothing as part of the deal.

Contract bottler Broadland is launching a bag-in-box perry aimed at the summer drinking and barbecue market. The 7.5% abv perry comes in a 3-litre fridge-ready box, rsp £5, and is meant to be drunk over ice. "We felt the market was ready for a standalone Broadland product," said a spokesman.
