Italians do rice too: Dell'Ugo launches Arancini risotto balls

Fresh rice, pasta and noodle brand Dell’Ugo is capitalising on the trend for street food with an Italian dish. In June, it launched Arancini - handmade risotto balls coated in breadcrumbs (rsp: £2.99/six-pack) - in Waitrose. “We were attracted by the general growth in street food to launch a traditionally Italian product, which has been around for hundreds of years,” says Helena Jevons, head of marketing at Dell’Ugo. The Arancini come in two variants - bolognese and pea, and tomato and mozzarella - and there is more NPD in the pipeline.
