Peter Lehmann Wines and UK agency Enotria are developing a bespoke range for the independent sector following their joint venture agreement.

The new independent-focused range, which is aimed at the premium market under the Peter Lehmann brand, is expected to be launched in September.

"We want to build on the success achieved by Peter Lehmann Wines already in the UK and develop that further by targeting the independent sector in the off-trade and on-trade," said Enotria marketing manager Damian Carrington.

Doug Lehmann, MD of Peter Lehmann Wines, said: "The new opportunities given to us by the joint venture are fantastic."

The agreement covers the sales and marketing of all Peter Lehmann wines in the UK and Ireland. Enotria will also distribute the wines of sister companies Glen Carlou in South Africa, Colomé in Argentina and The Hess Collection from the US under the deal.
