Dr Hilary Jones is to front a new campaign aimed at setting the record straight on eggs and cholesterol.

The GMTV doctor's advice will feature in advertorials in 14 women's titles targeting key purchasers from April to June, stressing consumption limits have been lifted.

Some 240,000 leaflets are also being distributed in GP surgeries across the UK as part of the £250,000 campaign. "It will remind people that eggs are a nutritious and versatile 'superfood'," said British Egg Industry Council chairman Andrew Parker.
