“Everything is wonderful/everything is great,” some unbearably banal music tells us, as a cute animated bee hovers near some wheat and the sun gleams.

The solar activity comes from the Sunbites van, which radiates joy, causing some mildly frowny townsfolk to lighten up. An old geezer offers a phone-glued teen a kickabout; a woman, er, eats some Sunbites.

The point is, Sunbites believes “a little good can grow”. Which is apparently why every bag tastes and does good (it supports Care International).

So far, so twee. What’s really interesting here is that Walkers insisted its ad agency installed solar panels, and captured real sunlight to generate the (impressive) effect in the ad. It’s a shame most viewers will never know.
