Beef soybean sausages

Xuxifarm relaunched its Beef & Soybean Snacking Sausages (VND98200.00/£3.07) with a colourful new look to celebrate Lunar New Year 2015. These protein and calcium-rich snacking sausages are targeted at children and are similar in appearance – but not sugar content ­– to sweets.

Blackberry chipotle salmon

Pitched at busy consumers with a hankering for gourmet meals in minutes, Fishpeople Blackberry Chipotle Sockeye Salmon Fillets ($9.97/£6.91) are individually portioned and frozen. Sustainably harvested in the US, they're also available in plain and Teriyaki & Ginger variants.

Maple bacon

Many in the US are shying away from foods perceived as overly processed, so Wellshire is using the phrase ‘all-natural’ to help flog its latest bacon product. Smoked Maple All Natural Sliced Uncured Bacon ($6.99/£4.16) is microwavable and contains only pork and natural seasonings.

Marinaded beef

South Korea’s Peacock has added Marinated Grilled Beef Slices (KRW6980.00/£4.16) to its range, which includes pork and tofu meatballs. These frozen portions come in resealable packs of 10, allowing for quick dinners that pack a smoky punch.

Paleo chiploatas

Cleaver's is encouraging Aussies to eat like cavemen with these paleo bangers. They're low-carb, organic and made with grass-fed beef (as you'd expect from a paleo product). Cleaver’s says these guilt-free sausages cover all bases when it comes to health, animal welfare and the environment.

Cola ribs

If it’s cooked low and slow and slathered in sauce, it’s bound to be a hit with today’s meat lovers. So enter RibWorld Mini Ribs with Cola Sauce (€3.79/£2.97). These 300g portions of slow-cooked pork rib can be prepared in the oven or microwave.

Sirloin steak

PRE's Sirloin Steak ($6.46/£4.48) comes from grass-fed cattle that have not been treated with hormones or antibiotics, a factor that's of growing concern for consumers on either side of the pond. This product is marketed as low in fat, but high in protein and flavour.

South Korea: Choi Hwa-Jeong Tandoori Chicken Breast

Actress turned health-conscious foodie Choi Hwa-Jeong is becoming South Korea’s answer Gywneth Paltrow by putting her name to this high-protein, low-fat, zero-MSG tandoori chicken breast product, which is aimed at Koreans who want exotic, hassle-free curries at home.

Tuna maki

Enjoy authentic sushi without the restaurant price tag with El Duende’s Tuna for Maki Sushi (€3.99/£3.13). This 100g pack of frozen Yellowfin Tuna joins the brand’s Salmon for Nigiri and Norwegian Smoked Salmon.

Turkey breast

Spain’s Frial has just relaunched its Roasted Turkey Breast (€2.50/£1.96) with new packaging, a new formula and thinner slices. This high-protein, ready-to-eat turkey contains patented Vidalim, a source of omega-3.
