World food brand Unearthed has launched a new range of barbecue sausages for the summer.
The three-strong range hit Waitrose stores this week. It includes a BBQ Tuscan Salsiccia Sausage, cured and flavoured with fennel, sage and rosemary; a BBQ Chorizo De Leon sausage, cured and seasoned with paprika and smoked over oak wood; and a Spanish Chistorra Cooking Chorizo, seasoned with paprika and garlic.
Research had shown that consumers were becoming far more experimental in what they were putting on their barbecue, said Unearthed brand manager Simon Day.
“Given the huge popularity of our existing continental meats range, we felt that we were in the perfect position to launch a BBQ range,” he said.
The sausages are exclusive to Waitrose, rsp £2.99 per pack or two for £5.
