Morrisons is looking to open a temporary store in Penrith after a fire destroyed its town-centre branch last week. Meanwhile, it has re-opened its petrol station and extended the range of groceries it sells. It is also offering a free bus service to its nearby Carlisle and Kendal stores. Investigators are looking into what caused the fire, which took more than 50 firefighters to control. It is understood they have ruled out arson as a possibility.
