What was your first-ever job? As a lifeguard! My first corporate job was in NPD at Louis Vuitton in Paris.

What’s been your worst job interview? It’s got to be when I was telling the interviewer how much I loved Australia, where I thought she was from. In fact she was actually from Austria!

What was the first music single you bought? Can You Feel The Love Tonight by Elton John.

How do you describe your job to your mates? That I tap birch trees in wild forests, collect the sap, bottle it and bring it to the UK.

What’s the most rewarding part of your job? When we receive nice, heart-warming unsolicited emails and messages from grateful customers. We work so hard - and this is truly what keeps up going.

What’s your motto in life? When the product is right, you don’t have to be a great marketer.

What’s the least rewarding part? Having blisters on my hands because I have prepared and mailed too many delivery packages.

If you were allowed one dream perk what would it be? For everywhere to be walking distance, no more Tube, bus, car, flights, train tickets or stations.

What’s your favourite movie and why? My Night with Maud. I am fascinated by the relationship between Françoise and Jean-Louis.

What’s been the most embarrassing moment in your life? OK, so perhaps not the most embarrassing tale ever, but I once took the high-speed train… to the wrong destination! It feels like the biggest possible waste of time and money (and yes, you get fined).

Do you have any phobias? Flying.

If you could pick a celebrity to join your staff who would it be? I would pick Gordon Ramsay - I admire his ethic of doing less but doing it better.

If you could change one thing in the grocery industry what would it be? For high-quality whole foods to become the norm. And, in general, I would like to see a shorter list of ingredients on products and no artificial ingredients at all.

What luxury would you have on your desert island? Fresh birch water, every day.

What animal best reflects your personality? Definitely a cat.
