Richmond Ice Cream, the producer of Nestlé ice creams, has changed its name to Richmond & Roncadin Ice Cream (R&R), as a result of its merger last year.

The buyout by American investment company Oaktree last year meant Richmond merged with German own-label ice cream manufacturer Roncadin. The new joint company will form R&R ice cream, one of the largest ice cream manufacturers in Europe.

“This name change takes place at an exciting time for Richmond,” said group CEO James Lambert. “We have seen phenomenal growth over the last year and now as R&R, we can further develop our brands and product development to become a key player in the European ice cream market.”

Richmond’s portfolio includes Fab lollies, Ribena Ice and the Skinny Cow range.
