Wall's Viennetta is venturing into the premium end of the ice cream market.

Viennetta Selection Biscuit Caramel (rsp: £2.49) contains vanilla and caramel ice cream with layers of caramel on a biscuit base. Wall's brand manager Naomi Geffen said it was designed to lure lapsed fans back to the brand.

"Dessert ice cream is up 55% due to a significant growth in family meal times," Geffen said.

Meanwhile, owner Unilever has added a mint flavour to its Magnum Mini range, backed with a £1.5m push including TV ads.
