Baked goods supplier Crosta & Mollica this week launched a folded pizza inspired by Italian street food and aimed at the on-the-go market.
Rolling out to Waitrose, Italian Street Pizza (rsp: £1.99) will be available in Margherita, Americana with salami, and Tonno Rosso with tuna and red onions. The products are made with the Crosta & Mollica pizza bases already in retail.
“This authentic Italian street pizza will offer consumers a bona fide alternative to traditional pizza,” said founder James Orr. Italian Street Pizza will be supported with a 20%-off offer followed by an ongoing two-for-£3.50 deal.
Dr Oetker recently expanded its range with its first calzone pizza.
