Maxol has launched a new gluten-free range under its Moreish food brand in order to meet “growing trends”.

The Irish family-owned forecourt retailer said more people choosing to lead a gluten-free lifestyle by choice or necessity had led to the introduction of the range and would “influence” its approach in 2017.

A “healthier” range of foods, including a signature sandwich range, made-to-order sandwiches, and pre-packed sandwiches, is also being launched to meet growing demand for “tasty and innovative quick serve solutions”.

“In this world of hyper-convenience, food to go is one of the key food trends in the marketplace,” said Maxol food concepts manager Aoife Kearney. “As consumers navigate their everyday demanding busy lives, they are looking for quick and easy food solutions. At Maxol, we believe that just because a customer’s day is busy, it doesn’t mean they should have to compromise on quality, choice or flavour.”
