Mornflake has launched its first gluten-free oats range.
Mornflake Gluten Free, rolling out this week, comprises Jumbo and Classic Porridge variants alongside a Pinhead Oatmeal (rsp: £2.99/500g and £3.99/750g). The latter, which is coarse cut rather than steel cut, had been included to expand usage beyond breakfast porridge to cooking and homebaking, said the business.
Certified and licensed by Coeliac UK, the trio is produced via a 100% British, wheat-free supply chain and marketing manager Richard Jones hopes they will appeal to “a broader market” of people avoiding wheat for the benefit of their general health, rather than to those who avoid it because of a solely clinical coeliac diagnosis.
