Walkers Shortbread has entered the booming gluten-free market with three new products.

The Gluten Free Pure butter Shortbread, Chocolate Chip Shortbread and Ginger & Lemon Shortbread (all rsp: £2.50/140g) are available online. Walkers anticipates a rollout to multiples in the new year.

It is the first time the company, based in Speyside, has offered free-from products. “As food intolerances continue to rise rapidly, it’s important for brands to cater for as many consumers as possible,” said joint MD Jim Walker.

Meanwhile DS-Gluten Free has added chocolate sandwich cream Mini Os to its range. With an rsp of £1.20, they are exclusive to Sainsbury’s.
