DTC organic produce supplier Abel & Cole has unveiled steps consumers can take to “unprocess their plates” this autumn.
The business said its September Top Picks showcased the “most delicious food and drink of the season” and made it easier to enjoy fresh, unprocessed food “that’s free from nasties and full of natural goodness”.
As part of the campaign it has launched an Unprocess Your Lunch Prep Kit (rsp: £11.50), which is designed to make “weekday lunches easier, healthier and more satisfying for busy people on the go”.
Each kit makes three portions, which the veg box company said gave customers a “versatile base to enjoy in different ways throughout the week”. It pointed to its Mediterranean Tray Bake, which would be delicious in “flatbreads, served with couscous or tossed through pasta”.
The business will be releasing a new meal prep kit each week in September, including Mixed Bean & Chilli, Lentil & Mushroom Ragu and a Spice Cauliflower, Lentil & Tahini Tray Bake.
The lunch kits are one of 12 recommendations, including Wild Venison Fillet Steaks (rsp: £12.50/350g two-pack), The Organic Lunchbox Favourites Fruit & Veg Box (rsp: £17.50) and the Gut Health Box (rsp: £8) among other dairy, fish, vegetable and fruit products.
“With over 57% of the average UK diet now made up of ultra-processed foods, and even more in children’s diets, shoppers are increasingly looking for healthier, more natural choices,” Abel & Cole said.
