Slim Chickens 01

Booker Group-owned food distributor Best Food Logistics has been appointed the supply chain partner for fried chicken QSR brand Slim Chickens.

The partnership will see Best Food Logistics providing nationwide distribution and supply chain services to Slim Chickens, as the US-founded restaurant brand continues to expand across the UK.

Slim Chickens first entered the UK market in 2018 with a flagship restaurant in London’s Marylebone. It now operates more than 70 restaurants nationwide.

The onboarding follows an integration process delivered by both teams to ensure “exceptional availability and on-time delivery from day one with no disruption to Best’s existing customers”, the pair said.

Slim Chickens will join the portfolio of hospitality brands for which Best already provides supply chain solutions, including Taco Bell, KFC, Pret a Manger, Ask Italian, Nando’s, Zizzi, Burger King and Pizza Hut.

“The move to Best Food Logistics has been a great experience,” said Ranjit Singh Boparan, president and owner of the 2 Sisters Food Group, parent of Slim Chickens.

“The whole team has integrated with my business seamlessly and the onboarding process has been to an exceptional standard. The communication has been second to none and despite its scale, the team operates with agility.”

Best Food Logistics MD Paul Whyte added: “We are delighted to welcome Ranjit and team Slim Chickens to our growing portfolio of customers.

“Operating a restaurant requires confidence in the supply chain and every delivery matters – providing exceptional product availability with deliveries arriving on time differentiates Best, and it fuels our customers’ growth. We look forward to a long-term, thriving partnership with Slims.”
