Boots has launched a new healthy on-the-go food range, Boost by Boots, designed to offer nutritionally balanced options at lunchtime.

The new range of 15 products features sandwiches, salads and sushi, all of which are available as part of the Boots meal deal.

Products include a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, a Feta & Beetroot Houmous Salad, a Hot Korean Inspired Chicken Flatbread, a Butter Chicken Wrap, and Sweet Chilli Prawn Dragon Rolls.

The range has been crafted with support from the retailer’s in-house nutrition team to offer a range of protein and fibre-focused options, alongside controlled calories, fat, saturated fat and salt.

The launch comes as Boots Online Doctor research of 1,000 current and recent GLP-1 users found that 70% say they are purchasing food on the go at least two to three times a week. High-protein and lower-calorie options are key considerations when choosing what to eat for 49% and 38% of users respectively.

Additionally, 86% claimed they would be more likely to buy on-the-go food if it was a healthy option.

“The Boost range adds to our growing range of healthy meal deal products at Boots,” said Boots nutritionist Vicky Pennington. “All products are a source of or high in protein or fibre, making them a great option for the growing number of GLP-1 users, including our Boots Online Doctor weight-loss patients.

“All our own-brand meal deal products are developed within a nutritional framework that limits calories, fat, sugar, and salt content in line with government and industry targets.”
