Brakes has launched a new bakery offering, La Boulangerie, bringing together its premium range of breads, pastries and cakes under a new banner.

The foodservice wholesaler has added 10 new products to coincide with the launch, bringing the entire range to more than 150 products. 

Inspired by global flavours and evolving food trends, the products are designed to ”enhance menus, with variety, quality, and added value”, said Brakes. 

The range combines traditional methods and long fermentation with quality ingredients and hand-finishing.

“We understand how important bakery is to the success of the outlet, from early morning croissants to lunchtime sandwiches to afternoon tea and beyond, bakery is the backbone of many foodservice operations,” said Sysco GB CEO Paul Nieduszynski.

“The La Boulangerie premium bakery range delivers quality, innovation and taste across a comprehensive range of premium products.”

It follows the launch of Brakes’ ‘Countdown to Christmas’ campaign, which includes more than 130 new lines. In total, the wholesaler will be offering more than 1,000 products this Christmas

Brakes has also created guides on its website, helping chefs to plan the run-up to Christmas, including a selection of 70% margin costed set meals to suit a range of budgets, including traditional, gastro, vegan and gluten-free.
