Branston pickle and Sarson’s vinegar maker Mizkan Euro has appointed UK distributor RH Amar as its exclusive UK distributor for the wholesale and foodservice channels.
The partnership would mark a “fantastic new chapter” for the company, it said. The business also has a portfolio that includes OSU with its range of apple cider vinegars, and a dedicated foodservice range focused on authentic Japanese flavours.
RH Amar is a full-service UK food distributor working with food companies such as Del Monte, Kikkoman, Mutti and Dunkin’ coffee.
”By teaming up with RH Amar’s experienced sales team, in-house logistics, and dedicated trade marketing expertise, we’re strengthening our route to market and setting ourselves up to deliver even better service, support, and growth for our customers,” said Mizkan Euro sales director Tracy Brown.
RH Amar commercial director Justin Burbage added: “We’re looking forward to bringing our channel expertise to such a strong and trusted portfolio of brands and showing the value a distributor model can bring in the UK market.”
In September, Mizkan brought a range of cooking ingredients to UK grocery, including Rice Vinegar, Mirin-Style Sweet Seasoning, Yuzu Ponzu, Red Miso & Chilli Cooking Paste, and White Miso & Sesame Cooking Paste.
The launch followed Mizkan’s announcement in June that it was to invest £17m into the expansion of its UK operations to cater to increased demand for Japanese vinegar products across Europe.
