Cargill, the international provider of food and agricultural products, has reached an agreement to buy the grain and oilseed meals trading business from Italian company Pagnan.
Cargill plans to incorporate the businesses into a new subsidiary called Pagnan Commerciale SRL, once the deal is completed.
“Working with Pagnan will help to consolidate our grain trading operations in Italy,” comments Jack Van Den Hoek, head of Cargill’s Mediterranean grain and oilseed operations.
