Indian street food café brand Chaiiwala is launching a limited-edition lighter summer menu in response to growing demand for lower-calorie, higher-protein options.
All under 400 calories, the range features salads including a Chicken Tikka Salad and Kebab Caesar Salad. Both use Chaiiwala’s existing in-store proteins alongside fresh ingredients such as lettuce, guacamole, sweetcorn and red cabbage slaw.
The food-to-go chain is also launching two avocado toasts with a “distinctive Chaiiwala twist”. The range includes Egg Burji Avo Toast made with desi-style scrambled eggs, alongside Butter Chicken Avo Toast.
Chaiiwala will also introduce a selection of limited-edition drinks including a Badam Milkshake, made with real dairy almond ice cream, which uses fresh whole milk blended with almonds, and finished with pistachio and saffron.
The brand will also be launching a Desi Cold Coffee, which is a frothy ice-cold blend of Karak coffee and vanilla ice cream, with a smooth foam topping.
“Customers are increasingly looking for lighter and more balanced options, particularly during the summer, but they do not want to compromise on flavour,” said Chaiiwala co-founder Sohail Ali. “That is where Chaiiwala has a real opportunity.
“Our new limited-edition summer menu brings together lower-calorie, higher-protein options with the bold Indian-inspired flavours our customers already know and love. Whether it is a Chicken Tikka Salad, an Egg Burji Avo Toast or our Badam Milkshake, this range shows how versatile our ingredients can be and how Chaiiwala can continue to offer something fresh, relevant and exciting across different dayparts.”
It follows the launch of the brand’s customisable Red Bull-infused mocktails last month, which look to appeal to Gen Z consumers, amid rising demand for energy and innovative beverages.
The range centres on Chaiiwala’s existing mocktails in Mango Mojito, Watermelon Spritz, Tahitian Lime, and Blueberry. Each can now be infused with a choice of Red Bull variants, including the classic Energy Drink, Sugar Free, The Apple Edition, The Summer Edition, and The Coconut Edition.
