Chipotle UK is set to open its first UK food court restaurant as it looks to expand its presence further into high-footfall retail destinations.
Opening on 10 April at Westfield Stratford City, the restaurant will create 30 new jobs in the area and marks the food-to-go chain’s 21st location in the UK.
To mark the launch, the first 100 customers on opening day will receive a free side of guacamole with the purchase of a main meal.
The Stratford site will join nearly half of Chipotle’s UK restaurants offering halal-suitable adobo chicken. It will also serve the chain’s full menu, which includes customisable burritos, tacos, bowls and salads.
“Westfield Stratford City is one of London’s busiest shopping and transport hubs, making it an ideal location to bring Chipotle’s real food to more guests in a highly convenient setting,” said Chipotle international managing director Anat Davidzon.
“Whether they’re shopping, commuting, or on the go, this opening helps us meet guests where they are. As our furthest restaurant east, it also marks an important step in our continued growth across London.”
