Northern Irish dairy company Dale Farm Group, has bought Parmalat’s UK dairy
processing activities for an undisclosed sum.
The new business will trade as Dale Farm Kendal Limited, producing consumer products under the Loseley and Lakeland Maid brands.
Dale Farm Group chief executive, David Dobbin, said the deal was in line with the company’s growth strategy in added value dairy products and a key step in its overall
development in the UK market.
The Parmalat deal is Dale Farm’s fourth major acquisition in three years, including the purchase in 2002 of specialist Scottish yogurt and health drinks manufacturer, Rowan Glen.
