The Drambuie Liqueur Company is looking for a new consumer base for its product through the introduction of a cream liqueur version.
The key Drambuie drinkers tend to be 35 plus. The cream style is aimed at a younger market.
The product has been under development for some years and it has been created with a lower fat content than the competition.
This has been done to enhance the malt whisky flavours.
It has already been on sale in Sweden, Norway and Greece. In the UK distribution will initially be limited.
It will be going into upmarket bars in key cities and will be sold nationally in the off-trade by Wine Rack and Bottoms Up.
It can also be bought online through lastorders.com and it has its own web site.
Drambuie Cream is made from 15-17 year old malt whiskies, dairy cream and heather honey.
A 70cl bottle is expected to retail at £14.99, which is at a premium to Baileys.
