Ella’s Kitchen has expanded beyond weaning foods with a new range designed for children aged 18 months and over, in what it describes as a “major step” in its ambition to support families beyond the first year.
Crunchy Stix contain less than 0.04g of salt per pack and are available in three flavours: Cheese & Onion, Tomato & Basil, and Pesto (rsp: £1.65/30g). Wild Crackers, meanwhile, contain less than 0.05g of salt per pack and have also launched in three flavours: Tomato & Oregano, Pea & Basil, and Carrot & Rosemary (rsp: £2.50/100g).
The HFSS-compliant snacks, which are designed for “lunchboxes, picnics or picky plates”, are available now in Boots and Ocado.
Ella’s Kitchen said snacking options for older toddlers are often found outside the baby aisle and skew towards crisps, confectionery and highly processed products. The new range aims to address this challenge, offering parents and carers snacks that deliver “enjoyment, nutrition and convenience without compromise”.
Further products in the range will launch later this year as the brand looks to set a “new benchmark” for kids’ eating occasions.
“Ella’s Kitchen Kids is about recognising that the journey doesn’t stop at babyfood. As little ones grow, their tastes, independence and routines all change – but parents still want options they can feel good about,” said Emma Wood, senior brand manager at Ella’s Kitchen.
“This range is about offering a better alternative that delivers on taste and fun, while supporting families with convenient, nutritious options they can trust as their children grow. It’s an important step for us and part of our ambition to help raise the standards of the kids’ food category.”
