Grocer Tim Warrillow -26

Warrillow founded Fever-Tree over 20 years ago and the brand has gone on to become one of UK food and drink’s biggest success stories since the turn of the century

Fever-Tree CEO Tim Warrillow has been unveiled as the keynote speaker at William Reed’s forthcoming Drink Tank event, taking place in London on 10 November.

Warrillow joins a stacked lineup of industry figures including Moth founder Rob Wallis, Jubel CEO Jesse Wilson, Nice co-founder Lucy Busk and M&S head of BWS Caroline Thompson-Hill speaking at Drink Tank – a cross-channel drinks industry summit organised by the publisher of The Grocer and The Morning Advertiser.

A former advertising executive turned food and drink consultant, Warrillow founded Fever-Tree in 2005 alongside Charles Rolls. Now its sole CEO, Warrillow has successfully steered the business for over two decades, taking it from challenger brand to market leader in mixers in both the UK and US.

Publicly listed for more than a decade, annual sales at Fever-Tree last year totalled £375m. Meanwhile, the brand’s drinks are now sold in more than 100 countries around the world.

Amid shifting consumer habits, Fever-Tree has successfully diversified into adult soft drinks and non-alcoholic cocktails in recent years. Products beyond tonic now account for 47% of its sales, compared with 39% three years ago.

In January 2025, Fever-Tree sold an 8.5% stake to US drinks giant Molson Coors, in a deal that valued the business at north of £800m.

On stage at Drink Tank, Warrillow will share his views on shifting market dynamics and what they mean for the future spirits and soft drinks in hospitality and retail, as well as reflecting on the ups and downs of a two decade-long career in drinks.

“We’re thrilled to have Tim join us for Drink Tank in November,” said The Grocer’s drinks editor James Beeson. “With his natural wit and charm, as well as his extensive drinks experience and standout business acumen, we’re certain he’ll be a brilliant keynote speaker at what is already shaping up to be a fantastic day of presentations, debates and networking.”

Warrillow added: “I’m looking forward to joining Drink Tank and hearing from such a broad mix of people from across the drinks industry. The Grocer and The Morning Advertiser have long been leading voices for the off-trade and on-trade respectively, so it’s a great opportunity to discuss the trends shaping how people are drinking today and where the industry goes next.”
