Britvic Soft Drinks is targeting 30-somethings with the revival of retro ranges Idris and R.Whites.
The Idris range is relaunching as The Idris Drinks Company and there is new, brighter packaging for the three flavours in the range Smooth Cream Soda, Wild Dandelion & Burdock and Fiery Ginger Beer to help drive adult consumption of soft drinks. Quirky lemonade brand R. Whites is to get a new variant: R Whites Cloudy Lemonade, which has 11% lemon juice. Launch will be supported by a £1m national poster campaign in May.
Britvic marketing director Andrew Marsden said that most fizzy drinks were aimed at kids but there was enormous untapped potential in the over 30s market. The revamped ranges are available from May 1. Rsp: £1.19 for a 1.5l PET bottle.
