German Doner Kebab has launched a new £5 value menu to offer customers “affordable options” and “lighter portions”.

The new ‘Fiver Menu’ includes a toasted tortilla Fiver Munch Wrap, Don Burger, Doner Grilled Cheese, and a Doritos Loaded ‘Kebag’ – Doritos loaded with doner meat, tomatoes, onions, cheese sauce and GDK’s three signature sauces  – in Cool Original and Chilli Heatwave flavours. 

“The Fiver Menu reflects our dedication to innovation and ensures our guests can enjoy the best of GDK without compromise,” said recently appointed German Doner Kebab CMO Chris Waters. “It’s designed to reward the loyalty of our existing customers all while making our menu accessible to new diners, giving everyone the chance to experience what makes GDK special.

“The new menu is GDK responding to our customer feedback, not only around more affordable options but lighter portions too. This is about giving people everyday access to GDK for less. It’s only the beginning, with more items being added very soon.”

Waters joined the fast-casual kebab brand on 1 September, having previously spent the past two-and-a-half years at JD Sports, where he was brand marketing director for the UK and Europe.

His appointment marked the latest in a string of leadership changes at German Doner Kebab over the past year, after Tommy Edmond was made CFO last October and Amit Pancholi took on the role of franchise director.

They were tasked with supporting the brand’s growth in both the UK and international markets. German Doner Kebab, which entered the UK market in 2015, is set to open its 150th restaurant on Boar Lane in Leeds next month.
