Grenade has joined forces with Mondelez International stablemate Cadbury to launch a Creme Egg protein bar.
The NPD (rsp: £2.50/45g) contains a “light, fluffy” protein dough and a yolk-coloured, Creme Egg-flavoured filling, enrobed in milk chocolate.
Billed as Grenade’s “softest” and “most indulgent” protein bar yet, the HFSS-compliant treat provides 13g protein and 2g sugar.
It will launch DTC on 24 November before rolling into grocery and convenience channels in December.
The NPD would rewrite the script on chocolate this Easter, offering a solution for consumers looking for a snack on the go, or a post-gym perk, said Grenade.
“Grenade is breaking new ground with the first ever official Creme Egg flavoured protein product,” said Rachel Austerberry, UK retail sales director at Grenade.
“Our new Soft Core range is an innovative addition to our offering, sure to drive consumer interest and recruit new consumers to the category, thanks to its more indulgent texture and taste.”
This isn’t the first time Grenade has partnered with another Mondelez brand to launch a product. It launched a co-branded protein bar with Oreo in 2023, featuring a vanilla-flavoured creme layer and a nougat centre, topped with sugar-free cookie pieces and wrapped in Grenade’s low-sugar chocolate.
Earlier this month, Mondelez unveiled a Biscoff filled Cadbury chocolate egg for Easter 2026, alongside a five-pack format for White Creme Egg and Oreo Egg.
