Grubby has teamed up with This to launch Superfood Barbacoa Bowl with Avocado Dressing

Vegan meal kit brand Grubby has added a range of recipes specifically designed to help customers eat 30 plants per week.

Launching this month, the eight-strong range includes the likes of Beetroot Hummus Bowl with Roasted Chickpeas, Orange & Rocket and Sticky Mushroom & Miso-Peanut Butter Noodles, each of which provides a minimum of 10 “plant points” per serving. Prices start at £28 for two meals for two people.

Grubby has teamed up with meat alternative brand This for one of the recipes, Superfood Barbacoa Bowl with Avocado Dressing, which provides 15.25 plant points. It contains This’ Superfood Super Block, which launched in April and contains a blend of shiitake mushrooms, fava beans and seeds.

“We’re all about helping people eat more plants without overthinking it,” said Grubby founder Martin Holden-White.

“The science around plant points is undeniable, and our customers are already smashing their weekly targets, but this, our new Plant Points range, takes the power of plants to another level: flavour-first, gut-friendly, and genuinely exciting to cook and eat.”

It comes as Grubby is preparing to relaunch Allplants’ range of plant-based ready meals, having acquired the recipe IP struck from administrators at Interpath in March.

Speaking at the time, Holden-White said: “We see this acquisition as a fantastic opportunity to bring these much-loved products back to life for customers across both DTC and retail, while honouring the incredible work [Allplants founder] Jonathan Petrides and his team did in developing them.”
