Hawaiian Tropic has expanded its portfolio with two lines, in an effort to encourage more Brits to protect their skin from the sun this summer.
The Edgewell Personal Care brand has rolled out Glowing Protection Face Cream SPF 50 (rsp: £13.59) and Hydrating After Sun Skin Nourishing Oil (rsp: £14) – to “nourish and enhance the skin”.
The face cream ensured “gentle care while offering high UVA/UVB protection against sun-induced skin ageing”, Hawaiian Tropic said. “The indulgent cream is fast-absorbing and blends seamlessly across all skin tones without clogging pores.”
Designed for daily use, Glowing Protection Face Cream SPF 50’s formula includes the likes of shea butter and vitamin E. It provided “an impenetrable sun defence, leaving skin glowing and protected, with no white residue” the brand added. “Its tropical scent adds a refreshing touch, making it the ideal companion for any sun-kissed adventure.”
Hydrating After Sun Skin Nourishing Oil was a “lightweight, fast-absorbing mist” that provided “a luxurious, ultra-hydrating experience, blending jojoba and avocado oils with vitamin E for soothing, 12-hour moisturisation – all with a hint of Hawaiian Tropic’s delicate tropical scent”.
Its vegan formulation “rejuvenates and softens the skin, helping to preserve suntans while keeping consumers comforted and revitalised – so they can enjoy every moment from sunrise to sunset with confidence and style”, said Hawaiian Tropic.
Both new products come in packaging made from post-consumer recycled plastic. They are available now from major retailers including Boots, Superdrug and Amazon.
The launch came as just 72% of UK adults used sun protection, Hawaiian Tropic claimed, and only 11% used after-sun products.
The brand’s mission was “to deliver suncare that not only protects and nourishes the skin but also enhances every sun-soaked adventure, ensuring our shoppers feel cared for and protected”, said Georgia Dass, Edgewell senior brand manager.
“With these latest additions, Hawaiian Tropic continues to set the standard for indulgent yet effective suncare, blending luxurious, skin-loving ingredients with high-performance protection,” she added. “So, consumers can embrace the joy of the sunshine, wherever they are and whatever they’re doing this summer.”
Last month, Hawaiian Tropic launched Hibiscus Cove, its first European immersive brand experience. The brand hosted an exclusive takeover at Nido Beach in Marbella, inviting guests to take part in activities, from paddleboarding to yoga, as well as evening entertainment and dining.
