London home delivery company Food Ferry will roll out its business across the UK. The independent has been delivering groceries in greater London for 10 years, taking orders over the phone and, for the past four years, over the internet. Managing director James Millar said that he plans a two phase roll out over five years: to fully establish the London market, and then to look at other suitable urban areas. Local operators would be brought in to give the experience and knowledge needed, he said. Food Ferry now has 12-15% of the London home delivery market, said Millar. {{NEWS }}
