JJ Foodservice customers are collectively saving more than £1m every month through the company’s Mix More Save More savings scheme, the wholesaler has confirmed.

One in four of JJ’s restaurant and catering customers are now using the scheme, which offers instant price reductions when customers order 20 or more products from the qualifying range in a single transaction.

It comes as the scheme has now expanded to over 1,000 products, five times the number available at launch in November 2024.

To support the expansion, JJ has run a company-wide training programme across all 12 UK branches and rolled out in-store signage, a 25-page customer brochure and targeted digital content including operator case studies on YouTube.

The savings scheme applies across fresh, frozen, chilled, ambient, packaging and cleaning lines, covering both branded and JJ own-label products.

The company said its long-term aim is to extend Mix More Save More across its entire product range.

“Running a restaurant – and even a household – isn’t getting any cheaper or easier,” said JJ Foodservice chief sales officer Baris Kacar.

“Caterers face multiple invoices, deliveries and constantly shifting promotions. Add the broader pressures of global markets and expected food inflation, and the hospitality sector is often the first to feel the impact.”

It comes as JJ has unveiled plans to expand to two new branches this year, while it continues to grow its product range with specialist and premium lines.

The wholesaler has acquired a new 28,000 sq ft site in Ipswich, which is due to open later this year, and has confirmed its 33,000 sq ft Nottingham branch remains on track to open this summer.
