JJ Foodservice has launched JJ Price Compare AI, an AI tool that shows customers where they could save on their next order.
Designed to remove the time and guesswork involved in comparing supplier prices manually, the tool requires customers to upload, drag and drop or photograph a recent supplier invoice. JJ Price Compare will return an instant, item-by-item breakdown showing exactly where they could be saving money.
Each product is marked using a traffic light system. Green shows that JJ is lower in price, amber means that the wholesaler does not currently stock the item, and red represents that the customers’ existing supplier is cheaper. Users can then add any items they choose to their basket.
The tool works for both delivery and collection customers, who select their order type upfront to ensure a like-for-like comparison. It is free to use online for customers and non-customers, with no sign-up required.
“We wanted to make it easier for people to know they’re getting great prices without spending hours comparing invoices,” said JJ Foodservice chief sales officer Baris Kacar. “JJ Price Compare AI turns that process into something that takes seconds – offering a clear, honest view about where you can save.”
It follows the news that JJ has added 20 new vehicles to its delivery fleet, all featuring three temperature-controlled compartments for chilled, ambient and frozen products.
The new vehicles will enable deliveries to be completed in a single journey, while providing “greater convenience and maintaining strict food quality and safety standards”, according to the foodservice wholesaler.
