JJ Foodservice has reported a 30% increase in counter area sales since the rollout of its self-service kiosks in April.
The kiosks, which are now available in all 12 of the wholesaler’s branches, give customers access to the same exclusive deals that were previously only offered through its click & collect service.
The business said the rollout marked a “significant step forward” in its strategy to enhance customer experience through “smart, scalable technology”.
“This result underscores strong customer adoption and the effectiveness of our technology-led approach,” said JJ Foodservice chief technology officer Michael Dudley.
“The initiative reflects our commitment to convenience, speed and innovation – all aimed at delivering the best possible experience for our customers.”
The sales increase follows the launch of JJ Foodservice’s educational kitchen workshop concept in July, at its newly opened professional kitchen space.
The workshops form part of the wholesaler’s commitment to providing foodservice operators with innovative, commercially focused training opportunities.
