Jenny Martin has sold the leasehold interest of the Jolly Woodman to first-time buyer Jane Passey through Davey & Co. The pub/restaurant was purchased off an asking price of £129,000. It offers three distinct areas: the bar and two dining areas, with seated dining for approximately 60 people. Passey, who has a background in catering, aims to increase the food side of the business. The Jolly Woodman has net annual sales of around £360,000 derived from a sales split of 45% wet and 55% dry. Paul Davey, of Davey & Co, said: "This pub is in an excellent catchment area and John Prescott was once a regular here. I'm expecting the new owners to really boost the trade."
