Juicy Marbles has launched ‘Butcher-Minced Bangers’ in an exclusive with Ocado.
The plant-based sausages (rsp: £4.09/270g) have a unique “butcher-minced” texture, along with “real fat cubes” that melt as you fry.
According to the brand, the sausages are perfect for dishes such as bangers and mash, full-English breakfasts, and toad-in-the-hole as they have a “satisfyingly snappy casing” and “hearty, beef-style flavour”.
The business added that it felt its sausages were “more authentic” than other alternative meat options as they are made with traditional mincing techniques rather than puréed emulsions.
“Don’t get us wrong. Plant-based sausages have tasted good for a long time and they opened people’s minds to the potential of plant-based meat,” said Juicy Marbles co-founder Luka Sinček. “However, our credo demands that if we can give something an experiential overhaul, we must.
“So, when we realised we could employ the same techniques butchers use to make high quality sausage – by mincing and casing our own plant-based whole cuts and fats – the superior eating experience shocked us, and we had to move forward.”
They also deliver 5.3g of fibre and 12.4g of protein per 100g, as well as Iron and Vitamin B12.
