The ice creams are packaged in new-look 425ml tubs

Kelly’s of Cornwall has had a revamp, launching a quartet of ice creams in smaller, new-look tubs.

Raspberry Cheesecake, Millionaires Shortbread, Vanilla Bean and Mocha ice creams all feature Kelly’s clotted cream base, but with “enhanced textures, decadent ripples and dessert-style inclusions”.

Raspberry Cheesecake features raspberry ripple and golden biscuit pieces, while Millionaires Shortbread includes caramel ripple and biscuit pieces.

Vanilla Bean is infused with vanilla flavouring, while Mocha contains a blend of coffee and chocolate.

The ice creams, which are packaged in 425ml tubs (rsp: £4.50), have already hit Morrisons, Co-op and Iceland freezers and will roll into Waitrose and Asda over the coming weeks.

The tubs feature “vibrant” new designs designed to “drive standout on shelf” and improve navigation across the range.

“As consumer behaviour evolves, we’re seeing more people looking for satisfying, high-quality treats they can enjoy at home, without the restaurant price tag,” said Kelly’s brand manager Danielle Bell.

“Today’s time-pressed shoppers still want those little moments of indulgence, and that’s exactly what our new range delivers,” Bell added.

With a retail sales value of £24.6m, Kelly’s was Britain’s fourth top-selling ice cream tub brand in 2024, behind Ben & Jerry’s (£150.2m), Häagen-Dazs (£60.8m) and Carte D’Or (£38.6m) [NIQ 52 w/e 7 September 2024].

However, its 2% value gain was thanks to higher prices; it sold 184,000 fewer litres of its ice cream through the tills over the period.
