KFC has partnered with La Vieille Ferme to open ‘Coq au Vin’, a new wine bar pop-up in Shoreditch, London.

Located at Kachette Annex from 28 to 31 August, the wine bar will serve La Vieille Ferme’s most popular wines alongside KFC chicken.

The menu will see the French wine brand’s Sparkling Rosé paired with KFC’s Popcorn Chicken, while La Vieille Ferme Rouge will be paired with Hot Wings.

La Vieille Ferme’s Rosé and Blanc varieties will be served with KFC’s Original Recipe Tenders alongside Original Sauce, Supercharger, and Texas BBQ dips.

The collaboration comes after La Vieille Ferme went viral on TikTok in 2024 after being dubbed ‘the chicken wine’. To play into the social media frenzy, it rebranded its labelling to ‘The Chicken Wine’ in UK supermarkets for a limited period in late 2024.

La Vieille Ferme will now be bringing back its ‘The Chicken Wine’ label exclusively for the wine bar event.

Tickets will be priced at £15 and will include a 90-minute tasting experience. Bookings can be made for between 12pm and 9pm from 28 to 30 August, and from 12pm to 5pm on Monday 31 August.

“We’re iconic fried chicken. They’re the iconic chicken wine,” said KFC UK & Ireland fame and partnerships lead Phoebe Syms. “Coq au Vin is one of those partnerships that just makes sense – and frankly, we can’t believe it’s taken this long. This August bank holiday, it’s poulet all day.”

Famille Perrin UK MD Andrew Bayley added: “Bringing the nation’s favourites together in a unique juxtaposition is all about celebrating the unexpected. Coq au Vin is a playful take on the principle that great wine and great food don’t have to follow the rules… a pop-up collaboration that makes customers cross the road.”
