Nestlé has added two Kit Kat Chunky products and white chocolate Blue Riband wafers

Nestlé has added two Kit Kat Chunky products, alongside a white chocolate spin-off for Blue Riband.

Limited-edition Kit Kat Chunky Funky (rsp: 89p/40g) features a cocoa wafer, enrobed in a marbled milk chocolate and white coating. It will roll into stores this week.

Nestlé has also added a Duo format for Kit Kat Chunky Salted Caramel, which features wafer topped with a salted caramel filling, wrapped in milk chocolate.

Both are made with cocoa from Nestlé’s income accelerator programme, which aims to support cocoa farming families to earn more money, plant more trees and help kids into school.

Meanwhile, Blue Riband Vanilla (rsp: £1.65/6x15g) combines wafer with a vanilla filling, coated in white chocolate. It has rolled into Tesco and Home Bargains.

The activity follows the rollout of Kit Kat’s sharing tablets in January, which – like Kit Kat Chunky Funky – featured swirled chocolate coatings.

“This year, we’ve introduced some amazing new products with our eye-catching, marbled swirls thanks to the brilliant minds at our research and development centre in York,” said Kit Kat assistant brand manager Rida Ahmed.

“Kit Kat Chunky has a fresh look while keeping the delicious crispy wafer and Kit Kat chocolate that our fans adore.

“It’s such a fun product, and we can’t wait to see how shoppers react,” Ahmed added.

As reported by The Grocer, Nestlé recently shrunk its Kit Kat multipacks to mitigate the impact of record-high cocoa costs.

Nestlé replaced its multipacks of nine Kit Kats for eight-packs, and its multipacks of 21 Kit Kats with 18-packs, but prices rose in some cases.
