Attic Futura, publishers of teen entertainment title TV Hits is to launch the Official Westlife Magazine under the TV Hits banner.
The alternate monthly title will be saddle-stitched and follow the same size and format as TV Hits. The 36-page magazine will include an eight-page poster, and has an initial print run of 50,000. The first issue will go on sale on September 22 with a cover price of £2.80.
The launch follows the success of the Official Boyzone Magazine, which Attic Futura published for four years. Both bands share the same management and wanted to create an official magazine for fans.
The publishers say Westlife magazine will offer unlimited access to the band, and carry exclusive interviews, competitions, posters, backstage on tour information, exclusive video shots and behind the scenes features.
Commenting on the launch of the new title, Rimi Atwal, associate publisher of TV Hits said: "We're excited at this latest brand extension for TV Hits and the prospect of working with Westlife and its management team Louis Walsh and Ronan Keating. We are also looking forward to building a relationship with RCA Records, working closely with Simon Cowell who was responsible for signing the band."
