Pink Ribbon magazine, the annual title that raises money to fight breast cancer, has its first sponsor  American Express. American Express will help to create and participate in a series of projects themed to the magazine, where every copy sold raises £1 for the Pink Ribbon Foundation. A series of initiatives to support the campaign include donations to Pink Ribbon for transactions made on American Express cards during October and collaboration in a joint fundraising event. Pink Ribbon is the first lifestyle magazine of its kind dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) and is priced £3.45. The 300-page glossy features celebrity interviews, fashion, beauty and health. The 2001 launch will also be supported by a major newstrade campaign of trade advertising and retailer promotions, including promotional units in Sainsbury's, Mills, Safeway, Tesco, Waitrose and TM Retail. Publisher Peter Vahdaty said the link with American Express was a milestone in the title's three-year history which "will have a major impact on our ability to reach a wider audience and to raise funds for breast cancer research." Pink Ribbon has an on sale date of September 13 and is distributed by Marketforce. {{CTN }}
