Magnum has unveiled its Signature range, inspired by trending patisserie flavours.
La Pistache boasts a “pistachio enriched” shell with caramelised, salted pistachio pieces, dipped in Magnum chocolate. It features pistachio ice cream with a “smooth” pistachio gelato core, enriched with pistachio paste.
Meanwhile, La Pêche has a “peach-led” shell with peach-flavoured sugar pieces, topped with Magnum chocolate. Inside, a “smooth” ice cream is paired with a peach gelato core.
Both will roll into major supermarkets and wholesalers this month as single sticks (rsp: £2.50/90ml) and multipacks of three (rsp: £4.25/3x90ml).
La Pistache would tap into the “massive popularity of pistachio flavours in the UK, fuelled by social media trends”, said Magnum.
Meanwhile, peach was “underrepresented in the ice cream sticks category, with La Pêche perfectly placed to fill that gap”, it added.
Both ice creams were “sure to intrigue and excite” and attract new consumers into the category, it added.
“Innovation is key to driving growth in ice cream, and Magnum has a strong track record when it comes to pushing boundaries with unique flavours and formats,” said Magnum marketing manager Shannon Lennon-Smith.
“Our new Signature range is the perfect way for us to start a new chapter as part of The Magnum Ice Cream Company,” Lennon-Smith added.
The launch will be supported by a “multimillion-pound, unmissable” marketing campaign, across TV, OOH, audio and more this summer.
Earlier this month, The Magnum Ice Cream Company unveiled Carte D’Or Sundae, a “unique” ice cream with a customisable crunchy topping.
