Following the restructuring of its business into three distinct units, Grampian Country Food Group has announced a reshuffling of its management team.
Grampian said that the shuffle was designed to put in place a streamlined management team and offer greater focus in delivering strategic objectives.
Philip Wilkinson is managing director of Grampian’s new integrated and added value chicken unit.
He will head the group’s chicken businesses at Attleborough and Rotherham and the convenience foods business of Cambuslang, which will combine with the existing agriculture, feeds and primary processing activities. He will also take responsibility for group purchasing.
Neil Hammond will lead Grampian’s pork unit, formed by combining Grampian’s Winsford and Elmswell businesses with existing pork operations.
Jose Peralta is managing director of the red meat unit, which covers Grampian’s McIntosh Donald, Welsh Country Foods and St Merryn Meats operations.
All three will be reporting to David Salkeld, Grampian’s group chief executive.
