McDonald’s is launching an official ‘Secret Menu’, making long-rumoured meals a real option in its UK and Ireland restaurants.
Available now for a limited time, the Secret Menu will feature a range of burgers, drinks and sweet treats.
Layering two 100% British & Irish beef patties with an MSC-certified crispy white Alaskan pollock fish filet patty, the fast food chain is introducing the Surf N’ Turf. It will also feature cheese, onions, pickles, mustard and tomato ketchup.
McDonald’s will also be pairing a 100% British & Irish beef patty with a crispy coated chicken patty in its Chicken Cheeseburger, alongside cheese, onions, mustard and ketchup.
Back by popular demand, the food-to-go brand is reintroducing the Chicken Big Mac, an original Secret Menu item. It features two chicken patties, cheese, lettuce, pickles and Big Mac Sauce in a toasted bun.
The Big Mac Sauce will also be available on the menu as a dip.
Aside from its meals, McDonald’s will be introducing a new Espresso Milkshake. It consists of two options handed to customers separately: a vanilla milkshake and a shot of espresso, allowing them to “pour, mix and enjoy”, the chain said.
McDonald’s will also be launching an Apple Pie Mini McFlurry, which is also made up of two separate items, served individually, of ice cream swirled with caramel sauce and a warm apple pie for dipping.
“We’re really happy to now make the Secret Menu official in the UK&I, turning fan-favourite hacks into reality,” said McDonald’s UK & Ireland SVP CMO Ben Fox. “Some of these mash-ups shouldn’t work, but they are weirdly good and need to be tried to be believed.
“Others are more natural combinations that are simply delicious. This limited-time lineup celebrates the creativity of our customers that we see every day on social media.”
