Meridian has unveiled its first co-branded range, teaming up with salt producer Halen Môn to launch two peanut butter lines.
Smooth Peanut Butter with Anglesey Sea Salt and Crunchy Peanut Butter with Anglesey Sea Salt will launch exclusively in Asda on 6 April (rsp: £2.80/280g).
Both variants contained only peanuts and Anglesey sea salt, Meridian revealed, adding the recipe was developed in response to shopper demand for “simple, recognisable ingredients”.
The Welsh nut butter and salt brand had teamed up to highlight their shared commitment to “quality and flavour”, the SHS Food-owned brand added.

“Meridian has always focused on quality and simplicity, roasting our nuts in Wrexham and keeping ingredients to an absolute minimum,” said Guy Dodwell, MD at SHS Foods. “When we decided to explore a new salted peanut butter, we knew the salt had to be exceptional.
“Halen Môn Anglesey Sea Salt is widely recognised for its outstanding flavour and provenance, so partnering with another Welsh brand that shares our values felt like a natural fit.”
Jess Lea-Wilson, brand director at Halen Môn, added: “Anglesey Sea Salt is all about pure flavour and exceptional quality, so it’s a perfect partner for Meridian’s peanut butter. We’re delighted to collaborate with a fellow Welsh brand that shares our commitment to great ingredients and honest food.”
Last year, Meridian rolled out colour-coded pack designs to help shoppers easily distinguish between its peanut butter and almond variants.
