Mark Bottomley

Parfetts has appointed Mark Bottomley as its new head of trading, to support the Stockport-based wholesaler’s goal of achieving £1bn in turnover and expanding to 2,000 fascia members.

In the new role Bottomley’s focus will be on strengthening supplier relationships and exploring new opportunities across depots, digital platforms, and the Go Local symbol estate. He will report to trading director Cheryl Hope.

Bottomley brings nearly three decades of industry experience to the position, having previously held senior roles at Unitas Wholesale and Bestway.

During this time, he has “established a reputation for developing commercial strategies, fostered strong supplier relationships, and helped independent retailers to drive value, promotions and innovative product ranges”.

“Parfetts is a company with incredible energy and a genuine commitment to supporting independent retailers,” said Bottomley. “It has established trusted relationships that truly make a difference on the ground, and I’m eager to contribute to strengthening our supplier partnerships and providing even greater value to our customers.”

Hope added: “Mark brings a wealth of experience in wholesale and convenience. His expertise in building supplier collaborations and driving growth will be invaluable as we continue to support retailers, enhance our promotional efforts, and work towards our ambitious sales and membership targets.

“Parfetts is committed to building on its unique employee-owned model by investing in people and partnerships to deliver value for suppliers, retailers, and shoppers. With Mark joining our senior leadership team, the business is well positioned to accelerate its growth through the rest of 2025 and beyond.”
